ReBound Rubies had for some time wished to make an attemt to do a full acoustic set. So this night at Blågårdens Beboerhus was chosen to the exciting one-off try-out.
It's a fact that playing acousticly really reveals if the band can play properly or not. I can say that ReBound Rubies definitely passed the audition!! They're not just another heavy rock band. I predict them to be really big on the music scene.
We got an exciting set of re-arranged semi-acoustic songs with Anne's rough power vocal in front. As I notised before, their normally electric set of songs would benefit from including one or two acoustic songs, now that the band have proved that they master that, too.
Here We Go Again would be a good option to play acousticly within the electric set.
The slightly reduced band (the drummer was missing) gave an old song, Loosing Another Soldier, never played publicly before. It was an almost psycodelic Indian-inspired tune, also a good choise for an acoustic song.
But the most wellknown hit, I Believe, was omitted, as it not worked out well in the acoustic version.
The lights at the venue was completely impossible when it comes to digitally photographing, so I'll make an excuse in advance for the colours!
At the bottom of this page you'll find some off-stage shots.
